We offer you now a vacation searching the leggend and discovering the history of the Romanian people.
1 Day – The adventure starts in Transilvania…

Arrival to the airport of Bucharest. Departure to Prahova Valley with its winter resort Sinaia, “the Pearl of the Carpathians”. Here we will visit Peles Castle and Pelisor Castle, the most beautiful summer residences of the Romanian principles starting from the time of king Carol I.
Dinner in a local restaurant with traditional specialities, in a warm atmosphere.
Overnight in Sinaia in a 3 stars stylish villa, built in 1884 by one of the architects of the Peles Castle.
2 Day – Citadels, fortresses, bastions, medieval cities...

We continue our adventure with the famous Dracula’s Castle in Bran "a small and pugnacious fortress" (Queen Maria).
Afterwards departure to Rajnov, a fortified Saxon citadel from the XIIIth century, and then arrival to Poiana Brasov – the most expensive Romanian winter resort.
Lunch in one of the most traditional restaurants in Romania, where the house speciality is mix of bear, deer, wild boar in a red salsa.
Next destination the medieval city of Brasov with its wonderful panorama from the top of the Tampa hill. Visit of the city (the Black Church, the Old quarter Schei, the Caterina Gate that separated the Rumanians from the Saxons).
Dinner in a restaurant citadel, on top of the hill, with a beautiful panorama of the city.
Overnight in Brasov in a 3 stars medieval hotel in the historical center.
3 Day – Right in the heart of Transilvania…
In the morning departure to Sighisoara, one of the best preserved inhabited fortress in Europe and also the place where Vlad Tepes was born, in a big house close to the Clock Tower. Here at midnight one of the 7 statues emerges from the Clock Tower.
On the way, stop to visit the fortified church of Prejmer, from 1225, and the beautiful Fortresses of Viscri and Saschiz, preserved since the 15th century, characteristics which determined their inclusion on The UNESCO List of World Patrimony.
Lunch in Sighisoara, in the house where Vlad was born, now became a medieval restaurant, serving bloody specialities.
In the afternoon, free time to enjoy the medieval atmosphere of Sighisoara, its corners and narrow streets full with antiquaries and souvenirs.
Overnight in Sighisoara, in a 3 stars medieval hotel, right next to Dracula’s House. You’d better buy some garlic before you go to sleep, just in case…
4 Day – The legend of the Hunedoara Castle...

In the morning, departure to Biertan, an exemple characteristic for the fortress-church family, one of the 300 fortified churches built between the 14th and 16th centuries. The Citadel of Biertan, placed high on a hillock right in the centre of the village was defended by triple walls, 6 towers and 3 bastions. Even today, one of the 3 entrances in the church has 19 locks.
Next city is Medias - with its Tower that remembers the Tower of Pisa.
Arrival to Alba Iulia, with its enormous citadel, the last one built in Transilvania (XVIII th century ). In Alba Iulia in 1918 was finally proclaimed the Unification of Romania.
After lunch we go straight to Hunedoara, with the most impressive castle of Transilvania - the Castle of Matei Corvin, its sumptuous home, but also a strategicaly enforced point. In the yard of the castle, near the chapel built also during Iancu de Hunerdoara's ruling, is a well, 30 meters deep.
The legend says that this fountain was digged by three Turkish prisoners, to whom their liberty was promissed if they reach water. After 15 years, when they have finished the well, the masters did not kept their promisse. It says that the inscription from the wall of the well means "you have water, but not soul".

Overnight in Deva in a 4 stars hotel,in the city center.
5 Day – Sibiu and Europe…
After breakfast, direction Sibiu, one of the most important medieval and cultural cities in Romania.In 2007 Sibiu will be the European capital of culture, it will be an open air museum, a beautiful experience to see and live. You can’t miss it!
We will visit here the Big Square with the Brukenthal Museum – the first Romanian museum- , the Passage of Steps, The Small Square, The Ancient Romanian School, The Iron Bridge etc.
Dinner in a traditional restaurant with live music and specialities from Sibiu.
Overnight in Sibiu, in a luxury 3 stars hotel, in the center of the city.
6 Day – Going back home…
In the morning departure to Bucharest passing by the Olt Vally, with its wonderful panorama and also the thermal resorts Calimanesti and Caciulata. We will arrive in the airport of Bucharest in the afternoon, right in time for the flight back home.

The prices are for groups consisting of 14 persons.For less/more than 14 persons taking part in the tour, the price ( a higher one/a lower one ) will be recalculated and the tour can be arranged after.

CancellationIn the case of cancellation of the tour, not later then 2 weeks before departure, the paid tour fee will be refunded, with the exception of 50 EUR for administrative costs
